Nanaimo Citizens Advocacy

Nanaimo Citizen Advocacy Association is a volunteer-based non-profit society, committed to supporting people in the community in overcoming barriers to independence by:
  • advocating and promoting the development of programs and services for citizens who need  assistance
  • giving a voice for those who can not speak for themselves
  • deliver educational support
Services may include but are not limited to:
  • Persons with Disability applications
  • General and Legal Advocacy
  • Residential Tenancy issues
  • Appeals & Tribunals
  • Assistance with completion of various documents
  • Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution
  • Outreach to Partnering Communities
  • Public Legal Education Workshops
  • Information and referral to resources such as:
    • Social Assistance
    • Government Services
    • Community Agencies
    • Practical Information & Tools
    • Beneficial Resources
