Holiday Greetings!

At no time of the year do I and my family feel a greater sense of gratitude for the wonderful life that this community, province and country have provided to us. As we celebrate on Christmas Day, one of the holiest days of the year for those of the Christian faith, and families of all faiths, or no faith, gather to show their love for one another, let us remember that for those of us to whom life has been kind, we owe much back to our communities, and should demonstrate that in a tangible way to the best of our ability, as we reflect back on another year living in what is still, notwithstanding recent events, a peaceable kingdom. We are indeed a fortunate people, and especially fortunate to live in such a wonderful community as Nanaimo, and I would hope that as you celebrate Christmas, and ring in the New Year with all the hope represented by that holiday, let us celebrate the good fortune we have, share our bounty with others, and remember with gratitude the many hands that have helped make our burdens, and our community’s burdens, lighter.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and as Tiny Tim observed, “God Bless Us Everyone!”
